@Chuggalugg No mountain here, bro. I’m talking claiming to be a ‘nutritionist’! I have my own PT business and I’m a qualified PT and dietitian. I’m NOT as highly qualified as a nutritionist. So with being aware of the years of study I put in, and knowing how many MORE years would be needed to become a nutritionist, I strongly question this guys claims, given his age!

WOW, this guy is on the same diet I’m on and I use all the same stuff, ON Hydro, Whey prtn, Casein, Amino, Opti-Men, creatine, I have oatmeal + bananas, chicken, spinach. One thing not to mix, chicken and rice.

Bananas as PWO carbs… you’re probably robbing yourself of some growth there my friend. You’d most likely be better off having something like maltodextrin (or I think someone else already said dextrose) or even better Poliquin’s quadricarb.
Also eating a slow digesting protein right before bed will negatively impact your deep sleep patterns as well as stunt your production of growth hormone during sleep. I know this may seem counterintuitive, but the science is there to back it up.

@TheKingrage with all that football (why though, you sound too frail) you probably should only lift 2x a week or else you’re central nervous system will be fatigued. Stick to two different full body workouts with compound lifts. Eat a shit ton of food. The quality of the calories isn’t so important as it is getting them in. You should be eating about 3,000-4,000 calories (find what works for you) eating 5-7 times a day. 50-60% of that should be carbs, and 40-50% should be protein and fats.

@TheKingrage damnnn at 6`2 and a measly 144 lbs .. you are one skinny dude my friend ……… you need calories bro … TONS of calories . basically just eat everything in site …. make sure you are eating every 2 to 3 hours with enough protein in every meal… i mean you do play football so you dont have to worry about getting fat .. specially at 6`2 ..just train intensevely heavy with a lot of compound movements, bench press, squats, deadlifts, lunges etc etc .. and eat like a horse

Bananas are not simple carbs. Plus, the sugar they do contain is fructose which is stored first in the liver and used by the body later. Dextrose is a better choice for post-workout carb uptake. Peace.
